The Area Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading and managing the sales and marketing efforts for two propertiesHoliday Inn Columbia MO and Fairfield Inn Columbia MOto maximize revenue market share and profitability. This position will develop and execute strategic sales plans build strong client relationships and ensure brand standards are upheld while providing leadership to the sales teams at each hotel.

What Youll Do:

Sales Leadership & Strategy

Develop and implement sales strategies for both hotels to achieve budgeted revenue goals.
Identify and secure new business across corporate group leisure and government segments.
Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of competitive trends.
Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing inventory and distribution channels.
Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain relationships with key accounts travel agencies and community partners.
Conduct client visits property tours and presentations to generate business.
Represent both properties at industry trade shows networking events and community activities.
Team Leadership

Lead mentor and motivate the sales teams at each property to achieve performance goals.
Provide ongoing training coaching and performance evaluations.
Foster collaboration between sales operations and revenue teams for unified success.
Marketing & Brand Compliance

Develop and execute marketing campaigns aligned with each hotels brand standards.
Partner with digital marketing teams to enhance online visibility and engagement.
Ensure all sales materials and presentations reflect IHG and Marriott brand requirements.
Reporting & Administration

Prepare weekly monthly and quarterly sales reports for corporate and regional leadership.
Manage budgets forecasts and expenses for both hotels.
Ensure compliance with company policies brand standards and legal regulations.
About You:

Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Marketing or related field preferred.
5 years of hotel sales experience including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Multi-property or area sales experience preferred.
Experience with IHG and/or Marriott systems (e.g. Delphi CI/TY IHG Concerto) strongly desired.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
Strong negotiation presentation and closing skills.
Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel sales systems.
