Become a member of Home Care Maintenance team providing in home services for clients across the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. We have a casual role available with 2/3 days a week with flexibility to be increased. This position contributes to the day-to-day maintenance activities required to maintain private homes of clients of the Home Care Packages Program engaged by DPV Health. This includes home maintenance gardens and small repairs. Experience in installing small home modifications such as ramps or handrails is desired but not essential. This role is a hands-on position which will include garden care gutter cleaning home maintenance and ensuring building are safe and hazard free. All equipment and a vehicle are provided.

Working as part of the Support at Home team and reporting to the Support at home coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting clients gardening and maintenance needs
  • Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with clients a person-centered approach
  • Being proactive creative demonstrating problem solving skills and communicating effectively

We are looking for an individual who has a systematic approach to how they manage their day have high attention to detail have knowledge and understanding of basic home maintenance and garden care and the safe use of equipment and chemicals. Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance and grounds maintenance is required. A formal qualification in a related trade discipline would be an advantage though not mandatory. Experience in minor home modifications such as handrails and ramp installation desired but not essential. You must have a full or probationary drivers license to enable you to drive a DPV Health vehicle.

The fine print

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check International Police Check (if applicable) hold a valid WWCC.
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
