Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician (Plumber) who will work under limited supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications blueprints schematics and locally generated instructions. Responsible for laying out the installation of new sewer steam line water and gas lines fuel chemical line fittings. Must be able to replace and/or repair sewer steam air water gas fuel chemical line and fittings valves faucets etc. as required. Must be able to determine the type and pipe size to be used on new sewer steam air water gas lines fuel and chemical line. Must be familiar with various systems and fixture related to water/gas supplies heating and sanitation in industrial settings. Will be required to follow work procedures work on facilities and production equipment as well as perform general plumbing maintenance. May work various shifts weekends and holidays as required.

Essential Functions:

Plumbing and facilities upkeep and repair.
Maintenance and janitorial support of physical facilities.
Conduct preventative maintenance.
Support maintenance mechanics simple projects spot painting and/or light construction.
Perform boiler maintenance troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
General shop upkeep cleaning and/or organizing.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant plumbing experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related plumbing experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Journeyman plumbing license preferred.
Working knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment and installation.
Valid state issued Drivers License.
Previous qualification with respirator and breathing devices.
Previous work with fire/rescue teams.
