Job Summary

Overview

Functions as a member of patient care team. Responsible for duties related to the clerical/operational functions of the nursing unit. Functions as a member of patient care team under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse in providing competent care to patients according to their individual needs. Performs basic patient care directed at the safety comfort personal hygiene and protection of patients.

Qualifications

Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current CPR certification. CNA certification preferred
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Preferably a minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience.

Special Qualifications:

Nursing assistant competency
Good organizational and communication skills.
Medical terminology and transcription skills.
Filing skills.
Clear legible penmanship.
Computer knowledgeable.
