To further our mechanical capability on Infrastructure projects we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a Water Utilities background to join us. Your primary task will be to deliver engineering work related to the design of elements including drinking water supply wastewater and non-infrastructure equipment. Occasionally your work might be also related to the design of biogas handling systems. This includes pressurised mains pumping systems treatment works apparatus and other relevant equipment.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participation in the design process for treatment works and pump stations treatment facilities/processes for water wastewater and sludge including process- and mass flow diagrams P&IDs pipe sizing selection of pump type process facilities piping systems valves etc.
  • Preparing 3D models and detailed drawings
  • Producing design deliverables such as drawings data sheets technical descriptions in accordance with contract requirements.

On top of that youll have:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering process engineering environmental engineering or similar
  • At least 10 years of experience within process mechanical systems engineering
  • A mechanical understanding of water-based systems such as pressurised water supply mains pumping stations and treatment works apparatus
  • Solid of knowledge of PED (Pressurized Equipment Directive) such as Metallic Industrial Piping standards EN 13480 Pressure vessel Code EN 13445 Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
  • Experience with 3D and BIM design in AutoCad P&ID and Plant 3D and/or Revit
  • Experience in pipe stress analyses (Rohr 2)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
