What are we looking for
Were seeking an experienced leader to join our team in a divisional management role. Cleveland Clinic London is organised into eight clinical institutes each led by an Institute Chair a leading physician who sets strategic direction and aligns with the hospitals mission. Your role will be to support three institutes: Heart Vascular & Thoracic Institute Neurosciences Institute and Integrated Hospital Care Institute.
Your role will partner with the Institute Chairs to achieve clinical and organisational goals acting as a key liaison and decision-maker supporting your team of Institute Operations Managers and driving cross-institute improvement initiatives. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-acuity collaborative environment that fosters professional growth.
What will your duties include
Leadership & Collaboration: Lead multidisciplinary teams including Consultants Fellows Allied Health Professionals medical secretaries and technical leads ensuring safe high-quality and efficient service delivery
Operational Excellence: Support Institute Operations Managers in resolving service delivery challenges optimising scheduling and driving efficiency across outpatient day case and inpatient activities.
Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and patient charging processes to ensure accurate billing financial accountability and alignment with organisational goals.
Quality Safety & Governance: Champion clinical quality safety and governance standards ensuring compliance continuous improvement and participation in national initiatives and registries.
Performance & Reporting: Monitor and report on Institute performance providing clear insights on quality activity and financial outcomes to leadership teams.
Engagement & Strategy: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the Institute Chair and Operations Manager in delivering strategic objectives business development and capacity planning.
Service Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency service quality and patient experience.
What we need from you
Essential:
Proven senior management experience in a complex acute care healthcare setting (NHS and/or private healthcare)
Extensive experience managing complex clinical and/or non-clinical services including service line interdependencies
Demonstrated ability to lead develop and performance-manage multidisciplinary teams
In-depth knowledge in financial management performance management information systems and staff management
Ability to navigate a complex matrixed organisation and balance stakeholder priorities
Experience delivering financial objectives including business cases budgets and commercial analysis
Proven success in achieving service-focused outcomes including service improvements and customer service initiatives
Desirable:
Experience in liaison and negotiation at organisational level internally as well as externally with a range of stakeholders
Experience managing clinical staff and conducting job planning
