MacKillop Family Services is looking for passionate individuals ready to make a difference in the lives of young people. Our Out of Home Care programs support children with complex needs through residential and therapeutic care.

As a Residential Care Worker youll provide safe supportive accommodation and help young people build life skills and confidence. If youre empathetic resilient and ready to start now we want to hear from you! Apply today and be the difference.

This is a fulltime parttime and casual opportunity based throughout our Barwon region within our Out of Home Care Program. This position reports to the Regional Coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention. If you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services Social Work or another related tertiary qualification youre also encouraged to apply.
  • A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
  • Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner.
  • Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety stability and consistency.

You must have a:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
