ASSA ABLOY is looking for a proactive hands-on Logistics Manager who takes pride in ensuring products move accurately and efficiently and who inspires others to do the same. This is an on-site role that will be based out of our ASSA ABLOY Grand Canyon Service Center or regional manufacturing facility located in Phoenix Arizona.

What would you do as our Logistics Manager

Youll oversee all shipping receiving and distribution activities to ensure efficient operations accurate documentation and timely delivery of products. Youll play a critical role in coordinating logistics flow between departments and external partners driving continuous improvement while leading a small but high-performing team.

You would also:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the shipping receiving and warehouse teams ensuring accuracy safety and efficiency.
  • Supervise and develop two direct reports providing coaching feedback and performance management.
  • Manage logistics scheduling carrier coordination and load optimization to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Oversee the flow of materials and finished goods through the distribution process maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records.
  • Monitor freight costs and collaborate with purchasing and finance teams to identify savings opportunities.
  • Partner with operations customer service and production teams to ensure alignment on shipping priorities and deadlines.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives in packaging staging loading and transportation efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety quality and regulatory requirements related to transportation and logistics.
  • Maintain KPIs related to shipping accuracy on-time delivery freight cost and inventory accuracy.
  • Lead promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Audit customer orders for accuracy and/or production delays.
  • Work with Operations Manager to control production scheduling and backlogs.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Assure compliance with federal state local and corporate governance policies regulations and laws AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

The skills and experience you need:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of experience in logistics shipping or distribution management ideally in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience leading small teams and managing day-to-day shipping and receiving operations.
  • Strong organizational planning and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (such as SAP Oracle or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail sense of urgency and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly.
