Azure Technical Lead
Locations: Plano TX & Houston TX.
USC/GC.
Contract role.

About the Role
We are seeking ahands-on Azure Technical Leadwith deep expertise inAzure governance security policies and infrastructure automation. This is atechnology leadership role not a people management or scrum master position. The ideal candidate is an expert who canarchitect design and implement Azure solutionswhile driving technical discussions writing Terraform code setting up Azure Policies and guiding teams through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation ofAzure Governance Security and Policyframeworks across multi-environment enterprise setups.
Develop enforce and maintainAzure Policy RBAC andcompliance baselinesaligned with corporate standards.
Architect and buildInfrastructure as Code (IaC)usingTerraformfor scalable Azure deployments.
Driveautomation and DevOpsinitiatives through CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Jenkins GitHub Actions) and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
Define and implementAzure Landing Zonesnetwork security models andtagging standards.
Collaborate closely with platform and security teams to integratemonitoringidentity andaccess controls.
Troubleshoot optimize and secure Azure workloads forperformance cost and compliance.
Providetechnical mentorshipto engineersleading by example not by hierarchy.
Stay current withAzure innovationsand recommend architectural and governance enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

18 yearsof overall IT experience with5 yearsof hands-on Azure expertise.
Proven track record inAzure Governance Security Policy creation/testing andCompliance enforcement.
Strong proficiency inTerraform(IaC) and managingAzure infrastructure at scale.
Deep understanding ofAzure AD RBAC Resource Locks Blueprints andARM templates.
Advanced scripting experience usingPowerShelland/orPython.
Hands-on experience withCI/CD toolssuch as Azure DevOps Jenkins GitHub Actions or Spinnaker.
Solid grasp ofAzure Networking(VNETs Private Links Firewalls)Storage andComputeservices.
Exposure toAzure Monitor Defender for Cloud Key Vault andSecurity Center.
Demonstrated ability todesign review and enforce governance-compliant architecturesin large enterprises.
