Could you be the full-time Test Engineer (Train Validation) in West Mifflin PA were looking for

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your testing and engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

Youll play a critical role in ensuring the safety functionality and compliance of our train systems by preparing supervising and analyzing test activities. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (engineering quality and safety departments) develop and verify testing tools and equipment and ensure adherence to EHS rules including implementing LockOut-TagOut instructions and much more.

  • Implementing verifying (functional) and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test
  • Preparing the equipment for testing
  • Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed
  • Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction
  • Supervising and/or executing test activities
  • Analyzing test results live and deciding if the test must be redone or not
  • Conducting test results data analysis
  • Writing static and dynamic test reports
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless test execution
  • Continuously improving testing processes to align with industry standards and best practices

  • Degree in Engineering Physics or a related technical field
  • Experience or understanding of testing processes equipment calibration and functional verification
  • Knowledge of data analysis methods and tools for interpreting test results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing test reports and collaborating with teams
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions during live testing
  • Attention to detail for ensuring test readiness and accuracy of configurations
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools or equipment development
  • Adaptability to work in dynamic environments and manage unexpected challenges
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry standard and practices
  • Familiarity with safety protocols such as LockOut-TagOut (LOTO) and EHS compliance
  • Readinees for long business travel
