In search of a culinary leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity operations and large-scale food manufacturing. We are seeking a Vice President of Culinary to oversee Culinary Operations for our clients Prepared Meals division. Reporting to the COO this role will drive innovation operational excellence and quality across a wide range of sectors.
This is a high-impact role responsible for setting the culinary vision developing new recipes building industrialized processes and ensuring consistent quality and efficiency from kitchen to production line. The VP of Culinary will collaborate closely with senior leadership procurement FSQA and operations to ensure every product meets both cost targets and gold-standard quality expectations.
What You will Do:
- Lead creation and industrialization of new recipes (entrées soups salads and more) across all Prepared Meals channels.
- Oversee culinary team operations controlling costs labor throughput and product quality.
- Establish training programs for kitchen and production staff to ensure efficient and safe use of all equipment.
- Partner with Procurement on ingredient sourcing and supply planning to support production readiness.
- Develop QA testing standards and work with FSQA to guarantee consistency safety and quality in every product.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes systems and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct tastings and focus groups to ensure customer adoption and satisfaction with new meal innovations.
What We are Looking For:
- Culinary degree required.
- 10 years of production management experience with at least 35 years in food manufacturing (USDA experience preferred).
- Proven expertise in recipe development process industrialization and large-scale production.
- Experience leading and developing culinary and production teams.
- Proficiency with production software MRP systems and standard office applications.
- Certifications in HACCP food safety and related training required.
