Job Description:

Role Sr. Software Delivery Packager - Onsite - Need Clearance

Role Summary

o Automating software installs for applications installed on every com-puter at Customer environment globally.

o Stewarding our automation software and packaging processes.

o Establishing the direction for software packaging at Customer.

o Mentoring junior software packages.

o Engaging with our ASCP packagers.

Role and Responsibilities

TECHNICAL EXECUTION

o Technical package build (akin to software de-velopment coding) and testing in alignment with requestor requirements and Custom-er standards.

o Projects are technically complex and global

MENTORING ENGAGEMENT WITH JUNIOR ASCP PACKAGERS

o Training mentoring coaching junior team members and working with ASCP to keep them engaged and informed

CUSTOMER SERVICE RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

o Meeting and collaborating with internal customers and project teams to define requirements overcome complex technical issues schedule activities etc.

STEWARDSHIP PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

o Stewarding our packaging software and improving process.

o Staying current on technology and evaluating what solutions best meet the needs of Customer

MUST HAVE Skill sets

MUST BE ELIGIBLE to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.

Senior software packaging skills

Experience with Admin Studio and SCCM and scripting skills related to the application installation process

Familiarity with software packaging best practices and industry standards

Deep knowledge of MSI including tables compo-nents permissions custom actions self-repair advertised shortcuts etc

Deep knowledge of the Windows 7 Operating System including registry file structure user profile differences between 32 and 64 bit etc

Conflict Solve packages for DLL OCX conflicts and conflicts with other existing applications

Use tools such as REGMON FILEMON PROCESSMON and Beyond Compare to identify resolve issues

Familiarity with ACT (Application Compatibility toolkit) to resolve Windows 7 compatibility with legacy applications

Ability to follow packaging process and ensure all required testing and documentation is complete and standards are followed

Passion for technology un-derstanding of industry trends and future of software packaging

Education and Experience

College University Degree

7-8 years in software packaging systems ad-ministration and IT infrastructure

Required Skills:

Hands-on working experience architecting Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions including customization and integration. Guidewire certification is a technologies of interest: Guidewire Cloud Salesforce CRM legacy modernization and AWS. Proven knowledge & architecture experience in architecture (digital / digital marketing / micro / macro / monolithic services APIs) application integration service-oriented architecture event-driven architecture application architecture distributed architecture data architecture and experience with modelling languages & techniques. Can quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. Can understand the long-term (big picture) and short-term perspectives of situations. Strong technical background (platforms languages protocols frameworks open source etc.).Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF) & architecture certifications a in engaging and supporting claims teams and understanding their day-to-day operations in the P&C insurance space.
