As a hardware engineer you will develop new products redesign the actual products schematic in ECAD software prepare the test and validation plan technical specification for the prototype do the validation tests of the prototype or manage it within or outside of Harman. Perform root-cause analysis for hardware failures and implement corrective measures. Reporting the development status to your manager is your responsibility. Usually work on more projects based on the priority list.

What You Will Do:

• Develops cost-effective designs analog audio electronics products.
• Lead the design and development of advanced analog audio and power electronics systems focusing on low-noise amplifiers precision power supplies and audio signal integrity across portable and stationary RF devices and battery chargers.
• Architect and validate high-performance amplifier circuits power management architectures and energy-efficient supply solutions to meet demanding professional audio standards.
• Drive the design validation and verification process from electrical measurement and functional validation through EMC thermal and environmental testing.
• Define and maintain engineering specifications for analog and power subsystems including tolerance analysis performance characterization and reliability assessment.
• Hands-On soldering of PCBAs in the laboratory.
• Search and provide alternatives for electrical components.
• Measure the product for validation and create reports from the measurement.
• Works and participates in a product team environment supporting other team functions: software mechanical process test and quality engineering and works with vendors to guide the manufacture of devices to fulfill the specified requirements to reduce cost enhance performance or all of them.
• Plan and execute tasks defined by the new product development and implementation project plans.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• A thorough understanding of schematics and electrical drawings.
• Masters in science degree in Electrical engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in hardware design with a strong focus on analog circuits amplifiers and power electronics.
• Deep understanding of schematics PCB design principles and electrical drawings.
• Recent experience in hardware design implementing and testing electronics products.
• Proficient in verbal and written English.

Bonus Points if You Have:

• Experience in professional audio or acoustic systems development.
• EMC / EMI standard standards and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity of Mentor Graphics or similar electronic hardware development environment.
• Hands-On experience with PCBA hand soldering assembly and modification of physical PCBAs.
• Knowledgeable in the use of Audio Precision Measurement Systems.
