Position Overview

The Finance Clerk is responsible for: the timely and accurate payments to suppliers for goods and services acquired for the sites operations and for providing information about payables and payments for reporting purposes the timely and accurate invoicing for goods and services supplied to the sites customers and for providing information about receivables for reporting purposes processing cash receipts depositing of all monies for sites operations and maintenance of petty cash fund and cash float as well as the distribution of comfort monies as required.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-year experience within the last 5 years on a computerized accounting environment required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Completion of high school education Manitoba standards required.
  • Completion of post-secondary computerized accounting courses within the last 8 years required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Typing minimum 50 wpm required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook) required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload meet deadlines and manage a large volume workload.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre Deer Lodge Centre Golden West Centennial Lodge Grace Hospital Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg Pan Am Clinic River Park Gardens Victoria General Hospital WRHA corporate programs and WRHA community health services.
