About the Role

Under the delegation and supervision of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager and the Nurse Unit Manager the Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with the nursing and broader multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care to patients within Specialist Clinics.

  • Practice in accordance to the Specialist Clinics Access Policy principles
  • Coordinate the flow of all patients through Specialist Clinics on the day of their appointment
  • Provide clinical oversight to patients waiting for their appointment
  • Attend to all clinical requirements of the patients in Specialist Clinics (dressings plaster

    management transport patients managing interpreters and correctional patients)

  • Liaise with Clerical Medical and Allied health staff in clinic


Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69253.60 - $92601.60 pro rata per annum).

Your Contribution

  • Bachelor of Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA.
  • 2 years of post graduate nursing experience in an acute setting or Specialist Clinics (desired)
  • Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain

About Specialist Clinics
Specialist Clinics provide over 250000 non admitted patient appointments per year across 22 different medical and surgical specialties and receive 85000 new referrals per annum. Specialist Clinics provide a gateway to the hospital for patients requiring elective surgery and ongoing chronic disease management. Our major referral base is via General Practitioners from all areas of Victoria.
