Purpose of the consultancy

At Plan International Australia were using our voice to create safer and fairer communities. Join us as the International Communications and Advocacy Specialist for an Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded pilot preventing sexual exploitation abuse and harassment (SEAH) in infrastructure projects in Nepal.

This short-term consultancy (approximately two person-months) will translate the projects insights into compelling communications and advocacy products to influence global development practice.

Expected deliverables

  • Developing and implementing a communication and advocacy plan for the SEAH prevention pilot.
  • Creating advocacy materials case studies and how-to guides for governments NGOs and contractors.
  • Producing engaging written visual and multimedia content to support learning and policy influence.
  • Supporting the translation of project findings into accessible action-oriented knowledge products.

Skills and experience

  • At least 10 years experience in communications advocacy or knowledge translation in GBV SEAH or social development sectors.
  • Proven ability to transform technical evidence into accessible practical materials.
  • Experience designing toolkits learning resources or digital campaigns.
  • Familiarity with advocacy in multilateral or international development contexts.
  • Experience working in Nepal or South Asia is highly regarded.

Contract Details

  • Duration: Approx. 2 months over the contract term ().
  • Location: Remote-based with coordination across multiple countries.
  • Remuneration: Consultant contract indicative daily rate to be proposed by applicants.
