When a U.S. Navy ship needs repairs they call us! HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Safety Technician to join our Environmental Health and Safety Department. This position will be located in our Newport News and Hampton Roads location. This position requires performing safety surveillances onboard aircraft carriers and providing input for corrective actions for all findings observed. The selected candidate will also provide safety training for Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) employees in a variety of areas that include: Fire Watch Fall Protection Hot Work Confined Spaces Scaffolding Competent Person Permit Authorizing Individual Paint Sampling and Hazard Communication.
