Position Details:

Job Title:Production Operators Phosphor Processing

Location:Rochester NY

Shift:10 hour shifts 4 days a week (start times between 5am and 10am depending on production schedule)

Pay:$22/hr (depending on experience)

Duration: Temporary Contract approximately 4-5 months.


What to expect as a Production Operator:

We are seeking a Production Operator to support a special project. This role is in a phosphor making facility and plays a key part in the production process from raw materials to finished product. Youll be working in a hands-on environment where safety precision and teamwork are essential. This position requires the use of PPE including uniforms safety glasses conductive footwear gloves and respirators for certain tasks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment for phosphor production: sieving trosting attriting firing and testing
  • Handle incoming materials and prepare equipment
  • Perform cleaning of machines parts and work areas
  • Conduct quality checks and basic troubleshooting
  • Package finished materials for transfer to production
  • Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in preventive maintenance (PM) activities

Required Skills & Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with chemicals preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills (Excel Word)
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Must be able to carry push pull and lift up to 50#
  • Will work with phosphor powder and occasional use solvents
