Shangri-La Chiang Mai isseeking an experienced Pastry Chef to oversee the production of high-quality pastries desserts and baked goods for our restaurants banquets and special events. The ideal candidate is creative detail-oriented and able to manage a team while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the pastry kitchen team ensuring smooth operations.
Develop and execute creative dessert menus aligned with Shangri-Las quality standards.
Oversee daily pastry and bakery production for all outlets banquets and special events.
Ensure consistency in taste presentation and portion control.
Monitor inventory manage orders and minimize waste.
Maintain strict hygiene sanitation and food safety standards (HACCP).
Train and develop pastry team members fostering a culture of excellence.
Collaborate with Executive Chef and other culinary teams for menu planning.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef Head Pastry Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment.
Culinary degree or professional pastry certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques baking chocolate work and sugar art.
Ability to create innovative and visually appealing desserts.
Strong leadership team management and organizational skills.
Passion for quality creativity and excellence in pastry arts.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Fluent in Thai; English communication skills are an advantage.
