The Armed Guard position is critical to ensuring the safety and security of patients staff and visitors within a healthcare environment. This role requires a highly trained individual equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to assess and respond to security threats while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. As part of the security team the Armed Guard will be responsible for monitoring the premises conducting regular patrols and enforcing safety protocols to prevent incidents that could disrupt the healthcare delivery process. With a strong emphasis on conflict resolution and emergency response the Armed Guard must be prepared to act decisively in high-pressure situations. Candidates for this position must possess a comprehensive understanding of security operations in a medical facility setting including familiarity with relevant regulations and protocols. The position demands vigilance and attention to detail as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders including law enforcement and emergency response teams. Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the premises to deter and identify threats.
- Conduct security assessments and report any findings.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies within the facility.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols.
- Enforce facility rules policies and regulations.
- Provide escorts for staff patients and visitors as required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during incidents.
Requirements
- Valid armed security guard license and necessary certifications.
- Proven experience in security law enforcement or military service.
- Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform security functions effectively.
- Willingness to work shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
