The Village Animal Clinic located outside of Albany is actively looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technicain. Our LVTs work closely with our 6 veterinarians assisting with their appointments surgeries and record-keeping. We were voted #1 Veterinary practice in the Times Unions Best of for six years. Our AAHAcertified practice includes equipment such as direct digital radiology digital dental radiology ultrasound computer-integrated Abaxis laboratory equipment including digital AI cytology dentalaire dental equipment therapeutic laser digital endoscopy and complete digital medical records. We have an on-site grooming area and serve as a host to two rotating specialists in radiology and surgery which our LVTs have the opportunity to assist. LVT responsibilities also include:

scheduling and maintaining their own technician appointments
collecting and preparing laboratory samples
perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs
Surgical inducing monitoring and recovering surgical patients
prepping and assisting with surgical procedures
processing sterilizing and maintaining surgical equipment
updating and maintaining computerized records
dispensing and administering medications and vaccines
educating pet owners on health care for their pets both in-person and on the phone
handling and treating exotic patients

Shifts: The flexibility of 4-day work week

10 hour shift

Salary: $25-$30
