Comm Unity Plus Services Ltd (operating as commUnity) is a multidisciplinary organisation located predominantly across Melbournes western suburbs. We strive to enable positive change and growth for people through a range of prevention and early intervention programs including Community Education Childrens Contact Services Neighbourhood House Legal Services and community engagement and development activities.

commUnity has grown from a small residents action group in Deer Park to a large community-based organisation that delivers programs from multiple locations. Our Head Office is located at Keilor Downs.

About the Position

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team the Manager Marketing Advocacy and Growth is a senior role that leads commUnity strategic stakeholder engagement including partnerships and business development advocacy and marketing and communications at enterprise level and across commUnity programs.

The role underpins commUnity strategic ambition to extend our reach and deepen our impact to support people and communities in the West and beyond to flourish through advocacy engagement partnerships diverse revenue generation and growth.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Marketing Public Policy or a relevant discipline
  • Experience in strategic stakeholder engagement partnerships development and management and advocacy
  • Experience in revenue generation and diversification including funding grants partnerships sponsorship fundraising social enterprise initiatives mergers and acquisitions and other tested approaches
  • Experience leading marketing and communications strategies and functions to enhance presence and reputation
  • Experience in program and project budgeting to underpin development of proposals
  • Strong tender and grant application experience
  • High level written and verbal communication skills including negotiation and an ability to influence a range of stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to effectively coordinate projects across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities monitor workflow follow and give directions maintain deadlines exercise initiative and judgement in changing environments
  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong communication with management
  • A passion for social impact and justice

Experience with government policy and program reforms research data collection management and analysis as well as working with community members from diverse backgrounds would be advantageous.

A current Drivers License and the ability to travel between offices and outreach locations is essential for this role. Additionally a Working with Children Check and National Police Check with ongoing validity are mandatory for this role.
