MHMR is looking for a detailed oriented Parenting Suprt Spec to join our team. As a Parenting Support Specialist uses lived experience and training to collaborate with Tarrant County Family Recovery Court Child Protective Services MHMR Substance Use Disorder (SUD) clinics and local family shelters. They conduct Nurturing Parenting classes for caregivers aiming to improve community safety child welfare and family stability affected by SUD homelessness and related issues. Services are recovery-oriented person- and family-centered relationship-focused and trauma-informed following the Nurturing Families Program curriculum.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED

Years Experience: One (1) year

Defined Experience: Youth services childcare teaching or a related field

License/Certifications: Complete Nurturing Parenting Educator certification within 90 days of hire with training provided by MHMR Tarrant; Valid Texas Drivers License
