About the Role:
The overall purpose of the Technical Officer (Exercise Science) is to provide technical support to undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as Academic and Research staff in the areas of Exercise Physiology Exercise Biochemistry Clinical Exercise Rehabilitationwithin the College of Sport Health and Engineering facilities. The Technical Officer (Exercise Science) will be required to utilise a large range of skills including the use maintenance and calibration of specialised equipment and the purchase of new equipment and laboratory/clinical consumables.
This position is at a HEP 5 $76459 - $87825 per annum 17% superannuation classification. This is a full time 36.75hrs/week fixed-term contract until March 2027 (maternity leave replacement).

Your experience and knowledge in the areas of exercise science will allow you to create a positive laboratory experience for all end users. Your commitment to providing a positive student experience will assist you in delivering a high-level technical service to our students and academic staff undertaking teaching research and consultancy activities within the tertiary education laboratory environment.

Relevant knowledge and/or work-related experience in a tertiary education Exercise Physiology/Clinical Exercise Scienceteaching or research laboratory is essential.A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a small team with the capacity to work independently with minimum supervision is required. The incumbent will require the capacity to understand and comply with employer policy and practices in all aspects of work and conduct including OH&S and Anti-Discrimination responsibilities and complete/attend relevant training.
