Description

Clean Harbors is North Americas largest environmental company. We are seeking a summer 2026 intern. As a Receiving ChemistInternship at our EL Dorado ARincinerator you will shadow a Receiving Chemist to learn about receiving sampling and analyzingwaste from 55-gallon drum shipments within our industrial warehouse you will be reviewing and updating documents such as SOPs. You will obtain a broader understanding of the chemical/environmental industry in general as well and learn about the various processes and what it takes to keep our environment clean!

Wage: $25hr

Housing:Not provided.

Responsibilities

Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following all policies procedures and always acting in a safe manner
Learn the use of proper personal protective equipment to sample waste in shipping containers throughout the warehouse and properly track and label the materials as needed
Shadow other chemists to learn about receiving sampling and waste analysis.
Updating SOP documentation
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors

Current or recent graduate with a Bachelors in Chemistry or Environmental sciences preferred
Advanced chemistry knowledge is a plus
Proficiency with MS Office Excel Work and PowerPoint
Computer proficiency within a Windows based system
