Join Us as a Nurse Practitioner!
We are looking for Per Diem - Weekday & Vacation Coverage Needed.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a member of the mental health care team that provides treatment to patients who need psychiatric care. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks from patient assessment and diagnosis to the development and implementation of treatment plans.
As a Nurse Practitioner:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Document patient care in electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
The Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will have the following:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program.
- RN licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner within the state of MA required.
- Prior experience in a Psychiatry setting is preferred but not required.
- MCSR and DEA license required
- Advanced level knowledge and expertise in Medicine and advanced skills in the application of child/adolescent and/or adult medicine
- Knowledge of current ICD methodology
- Skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to behavioral health inpatient services (e.g. JC CMS DMH DPH)
- Time management problem-solving crisis management and team-building capacity; flexibility creativity and ability to manage stress.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare technology
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of current mental health laws and ethical standards
Pay Range:
Compensation will be determined based on the candidates relevant experience.
$90.00 - $95.00 per hour
