Role description:

Our fast-growing team islooking for an Architect / Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and construction documentation phases of projects ensuring they are executed efficiently and in accordance with client expectations and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will hold a Degree in Architecture or a Diploma in Architectural Technology and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the design and construction documentation phases of projects.3-5 years of experience as a project manager is key to this role. The candidate will offer a robust portfolio of design working drawing with details and construction documents showing an array of projects. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of architectural processes. As a Project Manager you will lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering a variety of complex design and construction projects across sectors such as Living Workplace Education Retail Transit Healthcare and Industrial Facilities.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and manage the contract administration for complex architectural projects.
  • Negotiate and review contracts with clients consultants and contractors.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Resolve contractual disputes and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project management plans.
  • Oversee all phases of design and construction documentation.
  • Maintain design integrity and ensure quality standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field is an asset. Diploma in Architectural technology or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
  • Licensed Architect or eligibility for registration in Alberta is an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the creation of architectural designs and construction documentation is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a project manager is required.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems and PoC revenue recognition is an asset.
  • Familiarity and experience with various project delivery methods.
  • Strong leadership communication and client engagement skills.
  • Experience leading a team for production of design and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.
  • Rendering software such as Enscape is preferred.
  • Presentation software such as Adobe in design is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Alberta Building Code and Canadian Building Systems is expected.
  • Able to work under pressure to complete work and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills with an ability to direct junior staff to produce presentation design and construction documents.
  • Ability to develop and test architectural solutions at various scales.

The salary range for this position is $67914- $107334. The base salary represents Arcadis hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors such as location skills experience and qualification for the role.
