The Department of European Studies at the University of Amsterdam is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support the interdisciplinary project Chinese Migrants Selves in Europe. This project investigates how Chinese migrants in various European contexts experience express and negotiate their identities and senses of self in everyday life across cultural social and digital spaces.
The project consists of several researchers among which you will be working with Dr. Franziska Plümmer. You will be assisting with collecting data compiling literature reviews conducting qualitative interviews and digital ethnography. You will help manage project logistics to plan and prepare project meetings and outputs. You will contribute to writing reports presentations event organization and dissemination activities.
Ideally the position starts in January 2026 a later start is possible. Contract offer is for one year with 5 hours per week. The position requires both remote and on-site work.
