As a part of a small cross-functional team responsible for Lunar network IT and communications infrastructure youll be instrumental in supporting hardware-in-the-loop integration and mission operations for Blue Origins lunar landers. This is a hands-on position focused on supporting critical IT equipment and ensuring our internal customers receive the prompt and effective technology support necessary for building launching and operating lunar landers.

Job Duties:

• Configure deploy and maintain IT hardware including workstations servers networking equipment.
• Configure deploy and maintain mission support systems including video and voice communication infrastructure.
• Provide operational support for all mission systems command/control in critical test and operations environment.
• Adaptively build highly robust fault tolerant on-prem infrastructure to support unique customer requirements for data systems control and monitoring.
• Provide support in a mission critical environment including troubleshooting and diagnosing end-user issues in highly visible time sensitive situations.
• Troubleshoot network issues and mitigate or provide detailed relevant data such as packet captures and network logs to network engineers for further triage.
• Manage accounts through standardized identity management tools as well as situational use of scripting and cli for spontaneous change requirements.
• Assist in configuration management efforts by generating detailed work instructions and other industry standard workflows for software and systems level configuration control.
• Create new software and hardware deployment baselines built in accordance with established STIGs.
• Generate and update technical documentation given a standard.
• Inventory management of ground infrastructure including maintaining internal asset tracking tools spares procurement physical restocking and deployment.
• Adapt quickly to new work scope and provide secondary support to unique one-off systems such as weather monitoring fiber optics distribution RF distribution/control towers PKI and datacenter facilities management.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding on managing Linux and Windows based systems.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DHCP DNS) and file/print services
• Experience writing technical documentation and procedures.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on elevated structures.
• Strong customer service excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and install computer and rack-mounted equipment; comfortable with occasional ladder work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to common enterprise collaboration and project management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud and virtualization concepts.
• Basic scripting and programming for automation.
• Knowledge of security basics: Encryption patching least privilege
• IT industry certifications associates or bachelors degree in IT/CS or equivalent practical experience

• Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
