Job Summary
Associate Teacher Kindergarten Chinese Immersion
(New York New York) Support head teachers to prepare and deliver kindergarten curriculum and instruction using Mandarin Chinese language skills. Support establishment of a target language classroom conducive to learning. Support students social emotional and academic growth in both English and Mandarin Chinese languages. Support nursery curriculum for individual small group and remedial instruction to meet the language targets of identified students or subgroups of students. Support student-centered discussion in which students share ideas and present solutions. Prepare administer and assist with assignments. Monitor student social and cultural growth to appropriately support teaching methodologies including demonstrations discussions and lectures. Salary: $70000 to $75000 annually.
Minimum of Bachelors degree in Education Human Development and Education Early Childhood Education or related field plus one academic year of experience teaching early childhood instruction in an immersion setting required. Must read write and speak Mandarin Chinese.
