JOB TITLE: Bilingual Community Support Worker

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time 40 hours/wk

SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM; 2 evenings per week until 8pm required

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Community Support for Families

To provide case management services to families with reports of abuse/neglect coordinate child and family teaming activities offer an array of services/supports to enhance protective factors assess the strengths and needs of the family and collaborate with the Parent Navigators to ensure families are connected to resources services and supports in the community.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assesses whole family needs including basic needs therapeutic medical and other needs
  • Provides support and crisis management related to family needs.
  • Assists in linking families with needed community support services programs and agencies; advocates for clients rights and access to services.
  • Works as liaison with DCF hospitals other community-based services family members and significant others.
  • Processes appropriate requests for flex funding
  • Works in collaboration with Parent Navigators

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A Bachelors Degree in a Human Services related field is preferred but candidates with an Associates degree plus an extra two years experience in a related field with an approved waiver from funder DCF or candidates with a High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years extra experience in related field with an approved waiver from funder DCF will be considered.

Experience: For all candidates - Minimum of 2 years experience in mental health related setting.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid drivers license.

Additional Requirements: Bilingual in English and Spanish Required

COMPENSATION*:

$20.00/hr minimum and up commensurate upon experience

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
