As a Civil/Structural Designer at Burrow Global you will create the engineering deliverables related to structural steel and concrete foundations used in the petrochemical or oil and gas industries. You will create and review detailed sketches and drawings collaborate with project teams and contribute to the successful delivery of the engineering designs required by our clients.

Responsibilities:

Check and verify the accuracy of detailed sketches and drawings for project applicability and optimal construction.
Verify drawings prepared by others ensuring compliance with specifications and codes equipment compatibility and cost-saving measures.
Analyze proposed changes for fit and interference issues recommending solutions or alternate construction options.
Maintain proper file management by company and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with clients subcontractors vendors and consultants to ensure project success.
Track and maintain awareness of project schedules and budgets.
Confirm discipline-specific drawing quality and consistency adhering to company and industry standards.
Comply with all company and client health safety security and environmental (HSSE) standards and federal and local regulations.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required; an associates degree from a technical institution is preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the offshore oil & gas onshore gas processing hydrocarbon storage and transportation chemical manufacturing or refining industry preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software is required; proficiency in CADWorx and PDMS software is preferred.
Project lead experience is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to generate new concepts or ideas and make decisions to solve problems or achieve goals.
Excellent communication skills and ability to comprehend engineering drawings and instructions.
