The design of the hotel takes inspiration from the citys industrial heritage and brutalist architecture mixing concrete and moody elements with softer textures and confectionery touch points drawing on Yorks famous alumni including the Rowntree and the Terry families. As a city York has always had so much to offer; from its Roman and Viking roots to the cosmopolitan city it is today. Situated on the corner of Rougier Street the hotel is a stones throw away from some of the citys most famous attractions including York Minster York Castle and the historic city walls. The River Ouse are both a few minute walks away with the Yorkshire Museum and Gardens York Art Gallery and the world-famous university a short walk over the bridge.

Location: York

Were looking for a Cluster Meetings & Events Executive to join our team and play a crucial role in driving the meetings and events agenda for . For this role you would expect to handle high value enquiries which would include everything from product launches team meetings large conferences social celebrations and weddings therefore providing an exciting and varied workload within a dynamic close-knit team.

Reporting to the Cluster Meetings & Events Manager your key objectives would be to handle enquiries effectively contract event business and ensure a strong product knowledge to execute a smooth customer journey from start to finish including liaising on final details.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives;

To manage meeting private event and wedding enquiries
To drive occupancy and revenue for the meeting spaces within the hotel
To drive occupancy of bedrooms for MICE enquiries with groups attached
To work according to the SOPs within the brand ensuring adoption of best practice
To ensure high level of attention to detail for when creating proposals and function sheets for the hotels operation team
To have the ability to develop relationships and rapport with potential clients by adopting a consultative sales approach
To ensure all deposits and final payments are received in a timely manner as per the brand SOP
To confidently execute client site visits during their decision making process
To support the Cluster Meetings & Events Manager with any other ad-hoc tasks that are required
