Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position is a hands-on technician position responsible for performing work assignments identifying needed work preparing work areas and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants continuity of business operations and the cleanliness of all work areas. The position will support I-75 Alligator Alley area.

The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service exceptional technical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including plumbing electrical mechanical general building troubleshooting diagnosing and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will be a hands-on technician self-starter dependable have demonstrated knowledge in conducting building inspections maintenance and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites buildings systems norms of operation occupancy and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsibly and professionally. Proficiency in English as a second language is a requirement be customer service oriented a self-starter reliable flexible conduct themselves in a professional manner be able to make informed decisions and have a willingness to learn. A company vehicle will be provided.

Experience and Skills required:

  • Requires minimum 5 yrs related experience
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record
  • Customer interface (communications problem solving work prioritization & scheduling)
  • Electrical skills (changing and installing lights electrical outlets lights minor electrical and troubleshooting)
  • Familiarity with Emergency Generators Automatic Transfer Switches and Fire / Life / Safety Systems.
  • HVAC service and repairs
  • Plumbing skills (minor restroom repair of toilets sinks and fixtures)
  • Familiarity with Lift Stations.
  • Building skills (doors & hardware furniture & hardware bulletin boards etc.)
  • Painting skills (for touch-ups and misc.)
  • Computer skills (email scheduling maintenance management work order & PMs)

Schedule:
Full time; Day shift Monday through Friday. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.

Salary:
Based on experience plus benefits.
