Job Summary
An engineering firm is seeking an experienced Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician to support their growing team. The ideal candidates will assist in the identification mapping and documentation of underground utilities for various civil engineering projects.
SUE Technician Job Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations to locate and map existing underground utilities using various techniques (e.g. ground-penetrating radar vacuum excavation)
- Prepare accurate documentation and reports of subsurface utility conditions
- Assist in maintaining and updating utility databases and GIS mapping systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during field operations
- Assist with field investigations by using electromagnetic and geophysical equipment to detect and map subsurface utilities
SUE Technician Job Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of subsurface utility engineering (SUE) experience as a technician
- Basic understanding of utility systems and mapping techniques
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time
