Civil Engineering Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee airport and site development engineering projects from design through completion. This role requires a combination of technical expertise project leadership and business development skills to ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining client relationships and supporting company growth.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead the design planning and execution of airport and site development projects ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and manage project documentation including plans specifications cost estimates and reports.
• Apply engineering best practices to evaluate select and adapt techniques procedures and criteria for each project.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely completion within scope budget and schedule.
• Prepare bid documents proposals and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
• Coordinate with internal teams clients contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution.
• Monitor project progress update milestones and manage status reports and change orders.
• Resolve contract-related disputes ensuring adherence to project specifications material quality and workmanship standards.
• Participate in client and contractor meetings addressing project challenges and ensuring alignment with objectives.

Business Development & Client Engagement

• Support business development efforts by identifying potential clients and expanding industry relationships.
• Represent the company at industry events forums and networking opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients regulatory officials and contractors to build long-term partnerships.
• Assist in preparing project scopes budgets and fee proposals to secure new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in site development infrastructure or airport projects.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D stormwater modeling software and MS Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
• Strong knowledge of federal and state funding processes and regulatory approvals.
• Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Strong leadership and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and project integrity.

Licensure & Requirements

• Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; ability to obtain licensure in other states is a plus.
• Supervisory responsibilities may be required as part of this role.
