Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee airport and site development engineering projects from design through completion. This role requires a combination of technical expertise project leadership and business development skills to ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining client relationships and supporting company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the design planning and execution of airport and site development projects ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and manage project documentation including plans specifications cost estimates and reports.
- Apply engineering best practices to evaluate select and adapt techniques procedures and criteria for each project.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely completion within scope budget and schedule.
- Prepare bid documents proposals and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
- Coordinate with internal teams clients contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor project progress update milestones and manage status reports and change orders.
- Resolve contract-related disputes ensuring adherence to project specifications material quality and workmanship standards.
- Participate in client and contractor meetings addressing project challenges and ensuring alignment with objectives.
Business Development & Client Engagement
- Support business development efforts by identifying potential clients and expanding industry relationships.
- Represent the company at industry events forums and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients regulatory officials and contractors to build long-term partnerships.
- Assist in preparing project scopes budgets and fee proposals to secure new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in site development infrastructure or airport projects.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D stormwater modeling software and MS Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state funding processes and regulatory approvals.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Strong leadership and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Capacity to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and project integrity.
Licensure & Requirements
- Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; ability to obtain licensure in other states is a plus.
- Supervisory responsibilities may be required as part of this role.
