Job Summary

As a Civil Maintenance Team Member youll be part of a dynamic and supportive team within the City Maintenace portfolio contributing to the delivery of high-quality civil construction and maintenance services across the City of Charles Sturt.

Success in this role means:

  • Operating plant and equipment with care and precision
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
  • Supporting a child-safe and inclusive community environment.

Youll be hands-on in shaping the citys infrastructure ensuring our public spaces are safe accessible and well-maintained.

About You:

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Hold a current MR Truck Drivers Licence and White Card accreditation
  • Have proven experience in civil construction and maintenance operations
  • Be confident operating plant and equipment such as skid steers excavators and backhoes
  • Understand WHS legislation and apply it in your daily work
  • Be a team player who communicates effectively and works well with minimal supervision
  • Be committed to creating and maintaining child-safe environments
  • Have basic plan reading and surveying skills
  • Be flexible reliable and enthusiastic about contributing to your community
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) one or more of the following:
    • Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate
    • Skid Steer (LL) Excavator (LE) Backhoe (LB) Licence
    • Confined Space or Working at Heights Certificate.

The City Maintenance Portfolio - Civil and Property Maintenance Teamare a hands-on community-focused team responsible for maintaining and constructing the citys civil infrastructure. From footpaths to stormwater systems we take pride in delivering safe high-quality outcomes that enhance the daily lives of our residents.

The Detail:

The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis and is classified at Level ME5 with a starting salary of $75209.57 per annum Super.
