We are looking for a strategic leader to serve as Director of US Forecasting & Business Planning driving key commercial processes and performance tracking in the person will be a critical business partner with the US Commercial Leadership Team finance and senior leadership to develop forecast for the US market link forecast ambition to business priorities / KPIs and drive key business processes to enable effective monitoring of these KPIs. Through the effective use of data market research forecasting and analytics this individual will lead a team representing the commercial perspective on the short and long-term outlook for the US business and how the business is tracking to realize the outlook.
Key Responsibilities:
Guides all US demand forecasting activities and processes through proactive strategic alignment with cross-functional stakeholders
Provides strategic guidance and hands-onsupportto your team todevelopand maintainbest-in-classforecasting methods models and techniques to provide meaningful advances in forecast efficiency and accuracy
Leverages quantitative expertise tosupportthe Commercial team in making key business decisions; providesproactive strategic guidance tohelplink strategies / tactics to business outlook
Supportsdevelopment of US Commercial Scorecard to align business KPIs to the business outlook
SupportsQuarterly Business Reviews tofacilitateconversation on businessfollow throughand tracks realization of the forecast aspiration
LeadsUS forecastingcollaborationwith GlobalDemandPlanning and Technical Operations tosupportthe S&OP process
LeadsUS Monthly Business Review (MBR) process
Ensure systems and processessupportongoing forecasting updates and incorporation of real-time novel information
Effectively and succinctly communicate forecast updates andanalytics business development assessments andrisksto senior members of the business via meetings presentations and dashboards/reports.
Ensure forecasts address the impact of criticalevents arelogicallydesigned and well documented in the forecast model and represent consensusdecision-making among key stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree with 8yearsof experience
OR
Masters degree with 10yearsof experience
OR
Bachelors degree with 12yearsof experience
OR
Associate degree with 14yearsof experience
OR
High School Diploma / GED with 16yearsof experience
Preferred Qualifications:
6yearsof experience in pharmaceutical or biotech forecasting anddata
Prior experience in oncology hematology or rare diseases
Deepcommand of a variety ofproblem-solvingtechniques tosupportproduct and market forecasting
Meaningfulcritical thinking abilities geared toward problem-solving
Highly self-motivated and worksindependentlyacross problem identification designing and executing thesolution as well as drawing meaningful conclusions
Quickly grasps the big picture and links insights to larger issues
Ability to thrive in anexcitingmatrixedenvironment and navigate multiple priorities delegate effectively and balance resourcing against planned and unplanned businessneeds
