We are hiring for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer whose main purpose is the mechanical design and detailing of high precision new parts sub-assemblies and customer solutions for our Imaging & Analysis products.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

• BSc/BEng qualification in Mechanical engineering (or similar discipline) or equivalent qualification iMechE IEng Accredited
• Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years experience in product development
• Demonstrable experience in:

• Design of precise tight tolerance mechanisms
• Tolerance analysis
• Design for long-term stability e.g. vibration thermal effects
• Design for Regulatory Approval (EMC MD Safety LVD)
• DfX Implementation
• Prototype build & assessment

• Experience documenting designs with detailed assembly instructions including revision control of drawings and documents.
• Experience developing budgets and cost estimates
