Product Champion Hybrid Goodheart-Willcox Publisher Experts in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and an employee-owned company is seeking a Product Champion. The Product Champion identifies and uncovers new sales leads actively sells to these customers and closes new business for first editions and emerging markets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and go-getter communicates effectively with educators and has a passion for CTE position will follow a hybrid schedule working a minimum of two days per month in our Tinley Park Illinois office. Our compensation is market based and takes into account a variety of factors including the candidates skill set experience level internal equity and location. For this position we anticipate the starting salary falling between $50720 and $63600 per addition the company makes a 10% contribution to the Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a 4% matching contribution to the 401(k). What youll do: - Drive sales of new products to schools/colleges and contribute to achievement of product revenue targets.
- Identify sales opportunities by researching school and college programs to identify the right customers to make buying decisions.
- Track and move customers through the sales funnel stages and to won.
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations in a professional organized accurate and effective manner to persuade educators to select G-W products.
- Manage and maintain customer contacts opportunities data communications and customer sampling in NetSuite CRM.
- Manage track and report on selling metrics such as phone calls email reach out activities customer conversations and demos and closed/won business.
- Respond to Request for Information/Requests for Proposal from colleges schools/districts and states.
- Select travel via automobile and/or airplane to represent G-W at trade shows conferences and/or customer requested meetings.
What youll bring: - Bachelors degree required. Degree in sales marketing or business is a plus.
- Minimum of two years of previous inside or outside sales experience required. Experience in educational sales or publishing is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of PC-based Microsoft Office is required including proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of people.
- Must fulfill legal requirements to rent and drive a car.
- Working knowledge of Contact Management or ability to learn the CRM software (NetSuite).
