LOCATION:Apply Digital is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America preferably working in hours that align to PT (Pacific Timezone) or ET (Eastern Timezone). Candidates located in Santiago Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Candidates located outside of Santiago Chile will be fully remote employees.
THE ROLE:
As a People Operations Specialist in Shared Services you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations with a primary focus on Chile while also supporting multi-country payroll processes. Youll be responsible for system data maintenance managing payroll inputs for monthly and semi-monthly cycles and ensuring that SOC compliance standards are consistently applied across all approvals and submissions. This is a great opportunity for someone who is experienced in Chilean payroll and eager to grow into a broader global payroll role within a fast-paced international environment.
Payroll Operations
Manage Chilean payroll processing ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with local requirements.
Handle payroll inputs such as new hires terminations bonuses variable pay and statutory deductions.
Maintain payroll system data with a focus on accuracy integrity and confidentiality.
Learn and contribute to payroll operations in additional regions expanding global payroll expertise.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure all payroll activities comply with Chilean labor tax and social security regulations.
Apply and monitor SOC compliance within payroll approvals reconciliations and submissions.
Partner with Finance Audit and People & Culture teams to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
People Projects & Analytics
Continuously improve operational workflows supporting scalable tech-enabled HR processes that enable business growth and great employee experiences-
Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and contribute to automation initiatives.
Provide payroll reporting and analytics to support business decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in HR/Payroll operations with knowledge of Chilean payroll practices.
Experience with data entry system maintenance and proficient excel skills.
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive data discreetly.
Effective communication skills in English (C1).
Nice to Have
Experience with global payroll systems (e.g. Workday ADP Deel SAP).
Prior exposure to multi-country payroll processes.
Broader HR or People Operations experience.
Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements; SOC compliance experience (strongly preferred).
