Position Overview
We are seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join a leading accounting and advisory firm. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business operations risks and objectives while delivering high-quality financial statement audits. You will take ownership of engagements mentor junior staff and use modern audit technology to improve processes and client service.
This is a hands-on position with strong exposure to clients across industries excellent training and mentorship opportunities and a culture that values collaboration and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan execute and complete financial statement audits including managing budgets and serving as in charge when necessary.
- Build strong client relationships by communicating engagement expectations and providing updates on accounting regulatory and financial developments.
- Train supervise and provide feedback to audit associates and interns.
- Apply audit technology and innovative tools to design audit procedures and document findings.
- Research and resolve accounting and auditing matters in compliance with US GAAP GAAS and PCAOB standards.
- Represent the firm at recruiting and networking events as needed.
- Balance multiple engagements while delivering quality service.
- Travel up to 25% as the clients needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics Mathematics or a related field.
- At least 2 years of progressive public accounting experience with prior external audit experience (Big 4 preferred but public accounting is required).
- Completion of education requirements for CPA certification in the state of employment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP GAAS and PCAOB auditing standards.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and multiple engagements.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a team-based client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience auditing clients in the manufacturing industry.
- Exposure to public company audits SEC or PCAOB requirements.
- Familiarity with automation and digital tools in an audit environment.
- Previous experience at a Big 4 firm is strongly preferred.
