The Internship Experience
As a WM Intern you wont be sitting on the sidelines youll be in the mix. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real projects that make an impact for WM. Youll get real-world experience in key aspects of our business including a meaningful project youll own and present to senior leaders at the end of the summer while discovering what were all about. Outside of your core work youll join skill-building workshops connect with leaders through executive roundtables and build community with fellow interns from across the country. When summer wraps- the connection doesnt stop there. Youll walk away with meaningful experience for your resume a strong network and a clear path to stay connected to future opportunities at WM. Type:This is a Temporary Summer Intern position for college students
Timeframe: Internship is designed to start May 19th and run through the summer
Location:Detroit MI
Shift: Monday - Friday Time TBD
This is a Hybrid position working 3-4 days per week in office
Qualified candidates must be CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS in college or university.
Completed 60.0 course hours by the start of the internship.
Preferred Candidates:
Rising Junior or Senior
Microsoft Office Suite
Strong use of Microsoft Excel
Working toward Engineering degree

Youll get to explore specific tools projects or initiatives learn how things work behind the scenes and help WM drive purpose in everything we do. Whether youre diving into data pitching ideas or helping make things run smoother what you do will matterand we want to hear what you think.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Uses problem solving skills determines problems and understand fundamental parts of the problem.
Conducts analysis as directed and prepares and delivers insights and recommendations based on analysis.
Synthesizes findings and draws conclusions from analyses and makes oral/written recommendations to supervisor and/or manager.
Executes tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements.
Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility.
Please note that youre expected to do insert % of travel in relation to your work.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
Interns must have a High school diploma or GED (accredited) and be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelors degree (accredited) in a field of study relevant to the internship.
