Job Summary

The University of Chicagos Department of Pediatrics Section of Academic Pediatrics is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will provide primary outpatient clinical care for adolescents with a wide variety of healthcare needs in an academic medical center and community settings as well as consultative inpatient adolescent care. Clinical responsibilities will occur at Comer Childrens Hospital and the sections off-site clinical locations. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of medical students residents and fellows and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.This position is benefits-eligible. The University of Chicago Medical Center is designated as a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and operates a nationally recognized burn unit. Comer Childrens Hospital is an integrated childrens hospital offering a full complement of pediatric services with a total of 172 general pediatric NICU and PICU beds. Our pediatric faculty includes 170 full-time members clinical associates and postdoctoral addition to teaching medical students residents and fellows our faculty conducts cutting-edge translational and clinical research. Prior to the start of employment qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and 3) be Board certified or Board eligible in Adolescent Medicine.
