Job Summary
Summary:
A leading Heavy Equipment Rental and Service company is currently seeking a Field Crane Technician in Mobile AL. This company specializes in manufacturing and servicing overhead cranes in manufacturing facilities logistics centers airplane hangers and water treatment plants. The role is primarily responsible for installing and performing repairs on overhead and bridge cranes electrical hydraulic and electric motor systems.
Responsibilities:
* Install conduit and wiring systems.
* Utilize machine shop tools and equipment to fabricate repair and maintain parts as well as manage inventory.
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues by observing equipment operations at job sites.
* Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
* Replace faulty parts and make adjustments to machinery as needed.
* Interpret schematic designs and perform repairs in accordance with the specifications.
* Carry out installations for key clients in various settings including aircraft hangars manufacturing plants and distribution centers.
* Take service calls to clients in the area troubleshooting and repairing major or minor issues.
* Respond to service calls from local clients diagnosing and resolving both major and minor issues.
Qualifications:
* 2 years of experience in high voltage troubleshooting and any mechanical repair knowledge in lieu of overhead crane repair/installation experience
* Proficient in stick/arc welding certification required for highest end of pay range
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
* Proficient in reading schematics and diagnosing electrical failures in overhead systems.
* Valid Drivers License and clean driving record is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* High voltage diagnostic & troubleshooting experience (any equipment/industry)
* Welding certificates or trade schooling
