Customer Service Team Member
Reports to: Sales Manager
Results Statement: This position supports Account Executives and provides excellent customer service to existing customers. Appropriately addresses customer concerns correctly processes customer orders RMAs and credits promotes weekly items and accurately follows through on operational tasks associated with sales. Cultivates excellent customer relationships and monitors customer activity and engagement in collaboration with Account Executives.
Key Accountabilities (100% of the work week):
- Build lasting professional relationships
- Outstanding telephone presence as well as effectively communicates in person
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment multitasking ability
- Be a team player and have a strong aptitude to work independently.
Key Responsibilities include
- Have an outstanding knowledge of Cavalier Produce products and availability
- Keep up to date on restaurant trends and consumer preferences
- Know your customer. Research customer needs and suggest products to meet those needs
- Utilizing the companys software programs (Produce Pro and Mondays) to process orders monitor routes and delivery driver activity and communicate prospective customer information.
- Answer telephone calls in an appropriate manner and time
- Enter orders accurately and timely
- Responding to customer concerns by understanding their issues and then solving them.
- Perform various administrative duties related to the sales department including customer outreach social media content and prospect development.
- Work a rotating weekend schedule as scheduled.
- Increase our value to customer by increasing our product mix in the account
- Increase overall market share for Cavalier Produce
- Provide weekly account recap reports to Sales Manager and Account Executives
- Participation in occasional after hour events promoting Cavalier Produce or Team Building activities
Other Responsibilities include
- Represent Cavalier Produce in a professional courteous manner at all times.
- Have a valid drivers license and a good driving record (including: no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 7 years
- Have dependable transportation and be able to drive to customer locations events company meets etc. on a regular basis.
- Ability to identify analyze and resolve problems independently and with sound judgement.
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities under stress of deadlines.
- Solid organizational skills including the ability to manage time and coordinate multiple priorities.
- The ability to handle detailed information is a consistent timely and reliable manner.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Possess the ability to sit for four or more hours at a time.
- Be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Bend stretch reach overhead twist and move as needed to maneuver items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Company-wide Standards:
- All routine work will be documented in an operations manual. The information included in the operations manual is proprietary.
- All work will be performed according to company policies and standards inherent in all Job Defined Agreements system action plans employee and compliance manuals ongoing policy memoranda and facilities and dress codes.
- Client and company information will be held as strictly confidential outside of the company.
- Employees will provide staff assistance or be assigned to general office support as requested; each employee may be asked from time to time to cover other areas of accountability and/or departments.
- All business communications whether verbal visual or written whether for internal or external use will be professional in tone and content and according to any applicable and existing company policies and standards.
- Employees will respect each others time space and need for concentration. Socializing and interruptions must not impede workflow.
- Employees will have regularly-scheduled meetings with their manager.
- Employees are encouraged to recommend ideas for the improvement of their department and position that are consistent with the Companys Strategic Objective.
