Job Summary
Join Our Team as a Project Engineer at Johnson Electric!
Location: Mississauga ON (onsite)
As our next Project Engineer youll lead technical quoting and new product development initiatives. Youll work closely with customers suppliers and internal teams to design prototype inspect and test automotive oil pump systems. Your engineering expertise will drive innovation and ensure successful product launches.

What Youll Be Doing:
Coordinate RFQ packages and supplier quote analysis
Support supplier technical reviews and approvals
Manage APQP activities and data traceability
Direct CAD designers and develop product models
Optimize designs using DFM DFA and concurrent engineering
Implement and oversee pump testing programs
Prepare technical reports and customer presentations
Supervise prototype parts and processes
Maintain and improve design and testing systems
Support program managers and CI initiatives
What Were Looking For:
Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Experience in automotive design and development
Familiarity with ISO/IATF 16949 systems and APQP processes
Strong skills in CAD design testing and technical quoting
Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Team player with a proactive attitude
Knowledge of GD&T DFM and assembly processes
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience with hydraulic and acoustic pump performance testing
Background in supplier development and capital equipment sourcing
Advanced skills in customer liaison and project documentation
