Job Summary

We are working with a tier 1 client on a direct hire full time role looking for a candidate who has a degree in engineering and at least 2 to 3 years of experience working in an industrial environment preferably in the automotive industry. Its important that the candidate has proven experience in 8D/Corrective action skills APQP MSA SPC PPAP with E COAT as well as knowledge of quality engineering techniques. You will also work with Leaders and Engineers to implement quality measures.

A successful quality engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing quality standards control systems and corrective actions
Encourage and support Quality Safety and Environmental (QSE) activities while providing guidance and coaching to plant personnel
Supports and leads continuous improvements by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis
Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements
Conduct audits to verify process stability update FEMA accordingly to reflect concerns scrap rates and FTC
Use basic metrology equipment and understand fixture design concepts
Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
Visit customers onsite to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Degree in quality industrial or mechanical engineering.
2 years of experience in quality engineering in an automotive manufacturer
APQP and SPC concepts both theoretical and practical CMM equipment and data analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent project management skills.
