We are working with a tier 1 client on a direct hire full time role looking for a candidate who has a degree in engineering and at least 2 to 3 years of experience working in an industrial environment preferably in the automotive industry. Its important that the candidate has proven experience in 8D/Corrective action skills APQP MSA SPC PPAP with E COAT as well as knowledge of quality engineering techniques. You will also work with Leaders and Engineers to implement quality measures.
A successful quality engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing quality standards control systems and corrective actions
- Encourage and support Quality Safety and Environmental (QSE) activities while providing guidance and coaching to plant personnel
- Supports and leads continuous improvements by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis
- Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements
- Conduct audits to verify process stability update FEMA accordingly to reflect concerns scrap rates and FTC
- Use basic metrology equipment and understand fixture design concepts
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
- Visit customers onsite to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Degree in quality industrial or mechanical engineering.
- 2 years of experience in quality engineering in an automotive manufacturer
- APQP and SPC concepts both theoretical and practical CMM equipment and data analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
