Job Responsibilities:
Typically works independently to define and document set up and maintenance procedures and processes for technology systems in partnership with System IT.
Provide technology functional support including preventative maintenance and responding to security vulnerabilities.
Define platform and system access in accordance with Bank security policies.
Perform highly complex diagnostic and environmental testing.
May lead groups/committees related to processes standards and best practices.
Oversee MACs (moves adds and changes) related to the technology environment.
Coordinate with vendors as necessary to maintain technology components and environments.
Implement system maintenance tools that automate processes to enable greater scale and speed.
May require skills in the following areas:Windows Endpoint OS Mac OS Jamf AirWatch FileNet Active Nav Windows Server OS Linux Cisco Avaya Dynatrace Monitoring Tool SAFR FISMA Tableau Aternity Telecom Analog and Digital cabling Mobile devices Apple iOS SCCM Unified Communications Platforms (Cisco UCM Webex MS Teams Zoom).
May require scripting experiences with the following languages: PERL Python PowerShell Shell or other tools such as Terraform/Cloud Formation or Ansible/Chef/Puppet or Crestron SIMPL.
Participate in an Agile development or DevSecOps environment where applicable.
Provide rotating 24 by 7 on-call administration and support.
Review procedures and process guidelines for supported technology systems.
Provide substantial contributions to technology architecture design development and deployment.
May lead the innovation design and selection of new technologies in support of business initiatives and priorities.
May lead the support of the organizations cloud strategy from a technical perspective including design planning integration maintenance and support of cloud architecture and SaaS products.
Train coaches and mentors less experienced engineers on latest trends and technologies.
May provide day to day work direction to team members but does not have direct managerial authority.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 9 or more years of relevant information technology experience with at least 7 years of experience working within 4 to 6 technology platforms such as:
AWS experience.
Experience supporting and debugging applications.
Experience with logging alerting and monitoring tools such as: OpenSearch and Grafana.
Experience supporting development collaboration and operations tools such as GitLab and Atlassian products.
Experience in design and development of automated deployment mechanisms using scripting methodologies preferred.
Advanced knowledge and experience within technology subject matter area.
Innovative problem-solving orientation with strong analysis and troubleshooting skills or complex problems or issues.
Highly proficient in a DevSecOps culture with knowledge or experience delivering using Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with ITIL practices on call support and production support activities.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and philosophy and microservice architecture.
Exposure to Node Typescript Terraform and similar technologies is preferred.
Demonstrable experience in mentorship and serving as technical SME within team and with customers.
Additional Information:
The full salary range for the Advanced Engineer job profile is $121700 - $152132 - $182600. Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate alignment with market data the needs of the position our total compensation package and internal equity.
