Position Responsibilities

• Set up adjust and operate numerically controlled abrasive fluid jet equipment to cut trim shape and profile a variety of metallic and non-metallic materials.
• Determine setup methods and manually operate the machine when numerical control media is unavailable.
• Position and secure work holding devices and parts to ensure accurate machining.
• Verify own setup and work to ensure finished parts meet quality requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate workflow between different groups or departments to maintain efficient operations.
• Perform necessary machine adjustments including regulation of flow and pressure and removal/replacement of jet tips.
• Interpret and work from prints sketches templates specifications work orders and verbal instructions.
• Conduct bench work using precision measuring instruments hand tools and power tools to complete assignments.
• Plan develop and fabricate shop aids to facilitate work processes.
• Inspect shop orders materials and the condition of templates jigs and fixtures for accuracy and usability.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine operations monitor machine wear and functionality and report any issues.
• Manage inventory levels of perishable supplies such as garnet replaceable beds and machine parts necessary for routine maintenance.
• Utilize various computing systems as required to perform job functions effectively.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

• Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
• Engage in various movements such as reaching handling turning twisting lifting lowering climbing balancing bending kneeling crouching and squatting.
• Work in environments that may involve contact with metals solvents and coolants.
• Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools sharp cutters and potential slipping hazards.
• Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
• Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes hands/arms and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications

• 1 years of experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings
• 1 years of experience with Conventional and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines
• Must have the ability to stand and move (reach bend or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaks
• Able to lift push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience operating powered material handling equipment

Typical Education & Experience:

High school graduate or GED preferred.
